WordPress is a powerful blogging platform used by thousands for its easy-to-update blog format and numerous special features. I’ve also found it immensely useful creating dynamic websites for clients that they in turn could edit themselves without knowledge of web coding.

Below are examples of websites I’ve created using WordPress as the software base. All sites below were coded from scratch using a blank theme and are not edits of pre-existing themes or templates.

	“LifeSmithCoaching.com”  [Link] Website created for Lynne Smith, April 2011. Website needed for easier updates, more consistent layouts across website and search-engine friendly structure. Website is used predominantly as a static page website but also has a built-in blog. (WordPress, PHP, CSS)
	“3Percent Realty”  [LINK] Website created in partnership with Milovation Media; design mock-up and graphics were provided. Site required a multi-page image slider, contact forms and a dropdown menu combined with menu hover effects utilizing a combination of effects. (HTML, PHP, CSS, Javascript, WordPress)
	“Felicity Bridal”  [LINK] Website created in partnership with Milovation Media; design mock-up and graphics were provided. Site required custom layouts on a per-page basis along with customized contact forms, drop-down menus and image sliders. (HTML, PHP, CSS, Javascript, WordPress)
	“LifePotential.ca”  [Link] Website created for bob & Ronda, April 2011. Dual websites created as both a replacement and supplementary blog to their existing straight-PHP websites. Layout was created from scratch with colour scheme and basic design layout inspired by previous incarnation. Majority of website is static page use only. (WordPress, PHP, CSS)
	“Donaco’s Aesthetic Clinic” Website created in partnership with Milovation Media; design mock-up and graphics were provided. I was asked to create the website utilizing the blogging software, WordPress. Though the site wasn’t going to be used as a blog, the client wanted a WP site for ease of use. (HTML, PHP, CSS, WordPress)
	“Yuricon.com”  [Link] Website created for Erica Friedman, March 2011. Hub website for Yuricon/ALC Publishing group. Site was created with ease of updating and quick load time in mind. Content from previous site was migrated onto new one and basic layout design provided by client prior to starting. (WordPress, PHP, CSS)
	“StephenEmond.com”  [Link] Website created for Stephen Emond, December 2010. Personal art portfolio created for Stephen Emond (comic artist and writer). He wanted something bright and clean with an art gallery and informational pages about his different works. Artwork in layout provided by client. (WordPress, PHP, CSS)
	“FaithErinHicks.com”  [Link] Website created for Faith Erin Hicks, November 2010. Personal art portfolio created for graphic novel artist, Faith Erin Hicks. She wanted a complete redo of her previous website to have more consistency page-to-page and an easy to update format. (WordPress, PHP, CSS)
	“Chateau Wonderful”  [Link] Website created for Andre Richards, November 2010. Webcomic website to act as archive and promotion of original work, Chateau Wonderful. Webcomic site created using WordPress without ComicPress (built-in theme) dependency. (WordPress, PHP, CSS)
	“AndreComics.com”  [Link] Website created for Andre Richards, November 2010. Personal art portfolio created for webcomic artist, Andre Paploo. Website intended to act as a hub for other internet galleries and webcomics. (WordPress, PHP, CSS)
	“Leading Edge Goaltending” [Link] Website created for Steve Pattillo, September 2010. Website created for goalie coach training. Logo created first and website designed based upon it. Project still on-going. (WordPress, PHP, CSS)
	“Ryu’s Dreams” [Link] Website created for Ryu Sheng, July 2010. Colour theme and dragon motif requested, along with two sidebars. Worked with client to create sidebar that fit all the different elements they wanted showcased. (WordPress, PHP, CSS)
	“Designed For Living (BestFitProstheses.com)” [Link] Website created for Michele McQuaid, March 2010. Website created for Michele McQuaid and included layout and coding as well as the Designed for Living logo and accompanying ribon motif graphics. Basic CSS and PHP based layout utilized before conversion to WordPress for blog integration. (WordPress, PHP, CSS)
	“RadioCFXU.ca” [Link] Website created for CFXU Radio, January 2010. Website designed for a radio station out of Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Design was origially formatted with regular PHP/CSS coding then implemented with WordPress software for ease of maintenance. Based on graphics and colour palletes provided. (WordPress, PHP, CSS)
	“Animinitime.org”  [Link] Website created for CanCon East, June 2009. Website designed for housing information for Animinitime 2010 convention events. Utilizes pre-existing artwork and needed to allow simple navigation, fast-loading times and a colourful, family-friendly motif. (WordPress, PHP, CSS)
	“AnimeatLarge.com”  [Link] Commissioned by Marsha Reid, October 2008 – Present. Website required for a group that holds a variety of events. The appearance of the site needed to be colourful for the youth demographic of the organization while simple and professional for parents. Needs of website included ability to update frequently with information and host photo galleries. (WordPress, PHP, CSS)
	“Whore of Turfan”  [INACTIVE] Created for Tina Anderson, April 2008. Website created for author/artist team updating a weekly webcomic. Site was designed to complement content of the comic and ads promoting similar works and sponsors. Web comic run on ComicPress WordPress plug-in. (WordPress, PHP, CSS)
	“MTCopyright.com”  [Link] Commissioned by Meaghan Tucker, January 2008 – Present. Website is used as a personal art portfolio. Work included multiple layouts including design and coding (artwork supplied by client). Previous layouts utilized inline frames while most recent layouts use WordPress for easy updates.
